Head - Business Marketing & Pursuit Support

Overview:

As the Head of Business Marketing and Pursuit Support(Director/associate director level), you will be instrumental in leading tailored marketing strategies that address the unique needs and opportunities of each business or practice within the firm. Your leadership will ensure the firm remains at the forefront of the legal industry, excelling in brand recall and client acquisition & retention through strategic marketing. This role requires managing a pursuit support team effectively.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute comprehensive business marketing, brand management, and business development strategies that align with respective businesses/practices and the firm's long-term goals.

- Lead, inspire, and manage a multi-disciplinary business marketing, pursuit support and brand management team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

- Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including proposals, presentations for business development pitches, and promotional campaigns.

- Collaborate with practice leaders to identify market opportunities and develop targeted marketing plans that enhance client engagement and acquisition.

- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

- Working along with content and digital teams to manage and enhance the firm's brand presence across all platforms through effective thought leadership properties like blogs, podcasts, webinars etc, ensuring a consistent and impactful brand message.

- Oversee and support the preparation and submission of entries for industry awards, enhancing the firm's reputation and recognition within the legal domain.

- Work closely with CMO and partners to ensure the integration of branding strategies for sophisticated customer outreach initiatives.

- Stay updated on relevant legal developments, emerging trends, and industry insights to inform research strategies and support the firm's legal practice.

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of legal resources, and research tools to support the firm's research needs.

- Manage the budget for business marketing and branding efforts, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.

- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and award ceremonies, promoting the firm's brand and expanding professional networks.

- Onboard and manage agencies to execute various marketing programs as needed.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Pref will be for candidates from Tier 1 Business Schools who have experience of working in a fast-paced environment.

- 10-15 years of experience in core business marketing functions in service organisations.

- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and branding strategies.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging and influencing all levels of the organization and external partners.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize complex legal information and communicate findings effectively.

- Client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and exceeding client expectations.

- Familiarity with the latest industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and social media.

- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

IMP:

- At least 5 years of experience doing campaign and Go to market support activities in North America, Europe and APAC( Singapore + Japan) markets.

- Ideally should have worked in different industries across his sector on the B2B front so he can pick up nuances of various industries we work across.
