Our customer is a leading NBFC. We are looking for a Head- Business Legal for their mortgage business. Please note this is a Business/Credit Supporting role &amp; not part of Corporate Legal or Recovery/Collections Legal. The role will have Zonal Legal Managers as direct reports 1) LLB or LLM with min 12 years of experience in a Bank or an NBFC 2) Must have managed a Pan India responsibility in either SME/Housing/LAP Business 3) Must have managed team having a geographical spread Responsibility - Identification &amp; Documentation of Legal risk in geographies being services - Establish a process to mitigate the identified risk including delegated authorities - Scrutiny of title of the properties offered as security by clients through delegated authority in regions &amp; for deviation cases - Drafting and structuring of security documents in tandem with the Business Teams and external Legal Counsels - Empanelment of Legal Channel Partners - Legal audit of cases on a sampling basis - Drafting/vetting/negotiating of loan documents, mortgage/security creation documents etc for Real Estate transactions - Drafting/Vetting/negotiating of various Agreements/Contracts with Service Providers - Litigation Support (Only where Collections/Recovery Legal needs assistance)
