Position - Head Business Finance

Reporting to - CFO/ partnering with BU head

Location - Mumbai (Head Office)

Industry - Manufacturing (Cement/Steel)

Working - 5 days/ week

Mandatory - 8 to 10 years of experience. Project business experience is highly preferable with experience in SAP

Job Purpose :

- Required to be a Trusted Business Partner to the BU head and BU key Managers bringing the financial perspective to the table in helping them to make the right decisions to grow their businesses profitably.

- Assist to operationalize growth agendas by helping to identify the right KPIs to drive business, find ways to remove bottlenecks and accelerate performance.

- Ensure that the Business Units are able to meet reporting, planning and forecasting obligations towards the Finance Function and liaise with finance colleagues specializing in accounting, tax and controlling to solve financial issues as they occur.

- Establish and monitor a framework for timely and accurate presentation of financial statements.

- Proactively manage P&L & Balance sheet (including Plants) and highlight risks and opportunities at appropriate times to BU & CFO

- Analytics :

- Develop a Forecasting Model for P&L Management and better decision making.

- Commodity Price Analytics and Project wise profitability to drive Investments.

- Providing financial input into Business Unit decision making - both ad hoc business cases and determining financial impact of business initiatives

- Driving preparation of plans, forecasts and budgets

- Analysing results, providing insights to the Business Unit Leader and helping with providing commentary, analysis and presentations to more senior management levels;

- Design and manage Management Accounts and KPI reporting in cooperation with Financial Controlling that provides the BU Leader with the best possible management information to drive and accelerate profitable growth;

- Working with Controlling, Accounting and Tax Teams to resolve management reporting, accounting and tax issues that are specific to the Business Unit;

- Supporting month end closing entries, reviewing management accounts for accuracy and preparing management commentaries in support of the BU Owner.

- Incorporate company procedures and policies in operations of business unit.

- Receivables management

- SOP on business related process - Pricing, Inventory & Receivables.

- Support on statutory audit
