Strategic Planning and Budgeting :

- Develop strategic framework to synthesize the company's existing business and new market opportunities.

- Analyse market requirements / demands and identify new business prospects appropriate to organisation's capabilities

- Develop suitable business development strategies and business plans with milestone targets

- Consolidate business plan and budgets for new projects

- Participate in proposal preparation as needed and Provide explanations and clarifications to the corporate and Finance team and enable formation of an accurate and realistic budget aligned to overall business

Product Management :

- Drive the delivery management of pipeline projects by working closely with Cross functional team and updating the progress through MIS.

- Manage development projects by providing marketing insights to R&D to ensure timely delivery and development of cost effective process.

- Work out the Pilot trails, Facility mapping and New Capex requirements of those projects by working with cross functional experts

Key Account Management :

- Manage key customer accounts and work with them to increase volume / product ranges as applicable

- Achieve sales revenue targets for key accounts and new accounts.

- Develop new key accounts for existing as well as new products; Expand customer base and increase volume sales

Business Development - Custom Synthesis :

- Prospecting, managing and tracking of new projects on custom synthesis.

- This includes identification and discussion with potential clients, establish development contracts targeting registration and launch of the API.

- Work with R&D team and customers such that development contract finally leads to commercial supplies.

Business Development - Contract Manufacturing :

- Identify prospective companies looking for contract manufacturing tie-ups

- Match the internal capabilities with client requirements and make a feasibility study

- Discuss with the internal cross functional teams on the process capability, pricing, additional investments and develop the business proposal

- Negotiate with the clients and establish contractual agreements that are viable and profitable to the company.

Sales Planning and Forecasting of existing products :

- Identify areas that have scope for improvement with regard to new customer base expansion.

- Understand and assess the market scenario for current products through market research and collecting information from various sources

Sales Process Management and Achievement of Targets :

- Responsible for monitoring of the sales process and ensuring improvement on a continual basis

- Responsible for making pricing decisions and closing of the orders

- Responsible for the development of a collection plan in order to ensure proper collection of payments on time and reducing debtor outstanding.

- Closely monitor sales target vs actuals and evolve ways and means to achieve the target. Develop contingency plan where required to meet the targets.

Agent Management and Development :

- Build a cordial relationship with the agents

- Guide the agents and monitor their performance periodically in order to ensure that delivery happens

New Customer Development-Existing Products/New Customers :

- Responsible for new business development for existing products in order to ensure capacity utilization

- Do a thorough analysis of the market and identify opportunities for business with new customers

- Work with the plants and QA team and facilitate customer audits. Ensure new business as a result of the audit.

- Responsible for maintaining a cordial relationship with the customers and striving to meet their needs

New Product Development :

- Responsible for market analysis in order to identify opportunities for new product development

- Maintain a focus on regulatory markets in order to ensure development of a long-term relationship with customers and guaranteed orders

- Understand current technology available within the company and the infrastructural facilities available before committing to the customer

- Facilitate technical feasibility studies and commercial feasibility to manufacture new products.

- Work with the customers and the plants / R&D team in development of product and test methods. Facilitate regulatory processes and work towards approval of such products / intermediates and processes.
