About Our Client
Our client is a global conglomerate in the Electronics and Semiconductor industry.
Job Description
- Strategy Development and Execution: Craft and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate government markets (Railway, Defense, ISRO, Telecom) with semiconductor products/systems, aligning with company objectives.
- Opportunity Identification and Pursuit: Evaluate and pursue potential business opportunities with government agencies and PSUs, building strong relationships to meet their needs and secure orders.
- Demand Forecasting and Sales Execution: Plan demand based on government customer forecasts, execute sales strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Startup Engagement: Identify and cultivate business opportunities with Indian fabless startups, particularly those funded by the Startup India program.
- Business Development Cycle: Lead the entire BD process, including presentations, negotiations, and contract finalization.
- Government Sector Analysis: Understand emerging semiconductor product requirements, trends, and market potential in government sectors.
- Demand Forecasting: Plan demand based on forecasts from government customers and fabless startups.
Strategic Inputs:
- Product Strategy: Contribute to defining the company's product strategy, focusing on government opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams to identify, prioritize, and communicate business opportunities.
- Technology Alignment: Collaborate with engineering to assess technology applicability for government market targets.
- Government Affairs Coordination: Coordinate with the Government Affairs team on public policy, procurement, and strategy to achieve business goals.
The Successful Applicant
- Semiconductor Industry Experience: 15+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a focus on foundries, supply chain, and customer-facing roles.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of semiconductor process technologies and packaging.
- Government Engagement: Experience working with government agencies and PSUs.
- Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Relationship Building: Ability to establish strong relationships with customers, including their leadership and engineering teams.
- Leadership and Problem-Solving: Proven leadership and problem-solving skills to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for customer and conference engagements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering with a solid understanding of semiconductor technology. MBA preferred.
