Position: Head of OEM Sales (Domestic & International)

Location: Chennai

Reporting to: Business Head

Business Unit Size: ~400 Crores

Experience: Minimum 18 years

Maximum Age: Less than 50 years

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of OEM Sales to lead our domestic and international sales efforts in the metal, casting, or forging industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Auto OEM sales, with a proven track record of driving growth and establishing strong relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) both in India and abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy & Execution:

o Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets in both domestic and international markets.

o Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's OEM customer base.

o Drive the growth of the business unit, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.

2. Customer Relationship Management:

o Build and maintain strong relationships with key OEM customers.

o Serve as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

o Negotiate contracts and close deals with strategic customers.

3. Market Analysis & Business Development:

o Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and identify potential markets for expansion.

o Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to tailor offerings to meet OEM needs.

o Explore new markets and segments to drive business growth.

4. Leadership & Team Management:

o Lead and mentor the sales team, ensuring high performance and professional development.

o Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

o Set clear performance goals and regularly monitor team progress.

5. Operational Excellence:

o Ensure efficient and effective sales operations, including pricing, forecasting, and order management.

o Work closely with supply chain and production teams to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

o Manage sales budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.

6. Reporting & Analytics:

o Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the Business Head.

o Analyze sales data to drive continuous improvement and inform strategic decisions.

o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is a must; MBA is an advantage.

- Experience: Minimum of 18 years in sales, with significant experience in Auto OEM sales in the metal, casting, or forging industry.

- Industry Experience: Experience in large companies is required, with a solid understanding of domestic and international markets.

Skills:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.

- Strategic thinking with a focus on business growth and market expansion.

- Deep knowledge of the metal, casting, or forging industry, especially in relation to Auto OEMs.

Preferred Candidate:

- A proven track record in driving sales growth in both domestic and international markets.

- Experience working with large manufacturing companies in the automotive industry.
