Role :- Head - Business Development ( FMCG / FMCD / Agri Business / Food Industry)
Location : - Hyderabad
Purpose of the Role:
The Individual will be Accountable for driving franchisee/product sales and profit, coaching for operational excellence, and enforcing brand standards by providing high-level business consulting expertise. To deal with a client as well as Government Authorities by utilizing communication as well as Bid Management Skills.
Job Responsibility :
Strategy and Planning :
- Developing and implementing growth strategy and achieve aggressive sales targets
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
- Identification and segregation of potential market segments
- Create and establish a positive brand image for the Product among the customers, markets and within the business ecosystem.
- Preparing MIS for management submission "
- Overall supervision and Direction
- To direct, promote and coordinate the business operations in a manner that will help to achieve company's mission, objective, and goals.
- Develop and review goals based on the objectives set by the management and communicate it to the team.
- Developing team and leading them to attain the targets.
- Review progress as compared to goals, budgets, and targets
- Create and maintain an atmosphere in which employees will be encouraged to perform to their maximum capacity.
- Take measures to retain the best talent in the team
- Allocate budgets, in coordination with the Lead - Planning & Budgeting.
- Design and Implement Below the Line (BTL) initiatives to improve acceptability of product in new markets and for new customer segments.
- Assist in the development of the Annual Sales Plan for new products, in coordination with Lead - Sales.
- Monitor adherence to the marketing as well as financial budget.
- Monitor performance of new products and analyze trends /exceptions.
- Manages the day to day activities and performance of the Business
- Facilitates learning and sharing of best practices in a wide variety of formats
- Provides action plans with timing to resolve any system noncompliance a performs field audits for quality assurance.
Sales & Marketing :
- Drives revenue growth by developing annual sales, marketing, and financial plans.
- Optimise profitability by controlling cost & increasing revenue.
- Acquiring Government project by using Bid Management skills
- Review and analyze the marketing efforts and make necessary changes In the future plans.
- Conduct research to identify customer segments
- Plan and monitor market developmental activities at all level with necessary feedback.
- Envisage and design different sales channels for maximizing market penetration
- Monitor market intelligence within the industry in terms of market development, new projects, competitor's activity, new customers etc.
- Explore corporate and institutional sales thru special arrangement to augment the product reach and market penetration.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of sales and marketing team-by guiding them to move in proper direction.
- Provide necessary training to sales and marketing team.
- Stakeholder Management & Customer satisfaction
- Identify appropriate stakeholders like customers, government bodies, channel partners, etc and consolidate information to help build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Monitor external customer satisfaction through a customer satisfaction index based on parameters such as quality, delivery, customer complaints, etc.
- Working relationship with other organizations within the business community - Officially represent the organization to the business community during conferences, meetings, and events
- Ensure to build a positive image of the organization while dealing with external business ecosystem
- Provide training of the product to educate or attract the client
- Provide after-sales support
- Develop a mechanism to collect feedback from the client
Qualification & Experience :
- MBA / PG in Agri-Business from Premium Institutes. Min 12 years of experience in Commodity Management/ Food & Agriculture Business / FMCG.
