Position - Head of Business Development & Consulting
Organisation - Leading Sports and Events Company
Mandatory - Experience in Sports / Events / Lifestyle Companies
Location - Mumbai
CTC - 30 - 40 lacs
Experience - 8-12 yrs
- Creation of new IP for the company, including, Development of a data backed business plan
- Aligning internal stakeholders to receive go on the plan
- Developing the entire strategy for the IP in conjunction with sales, production and operations
- Onboarding key partners (such as a media rights partner on a sports IP)
- Overseeing development and execution of the commercial and operational plans
- Entry into existing lines of business, in which the company is not currently engaged strategically
- Illustratively, this could include media rights trading, on-ground rights, representation of e-sports athletes
- Expected to demonstrate a concrete data backed business plan justifying entry into the new field, a strategic roadmap for beating existing players, laying out investments required and expected cash flows and setting out an operating plan to achieve projections
Develop new consulting businesses :
- Work with the sales team to develop new ideas for existing clients to help them improve their ability to leverage partnerships
- Work with the sales team to develop pitches for new clients, including compelling reasons for them to spend money in sport & lifestyle and ways to achieve a ROI on the same
- Develop an in-house tool that can be extended across brands to assist them in evaluating partnerships prior to acquisition
- Develop an in-house tool that can be extended across brands to assist them in evaluating ROI on their returns
- Expand the company's consulting abilities by identifying new databases/ resources, entering into strategic partnerships with value / data providers and identifying routes into providing in depth expertise to other consulting organizations (such as the Big 4) in their work
Organization Education :
- Ensure that the consulting team leads periodic upskilling sessions for the organization to educate it on emerging trends, interesting activations, Remeasurement, digital strategy & activation etc to allow them to enhance the strength of pitches with potential clients.
Internal Collaboration :
- Lead the team in building relationships with all other verticals to ensure that the organization works as one unit
- Report directly into senior leadership to keep them updated on progress and challenges and to receive requisite sign offs
- Build PR for the company in conjunction with the PR team by consistently leveraging wins in the mass media, with special focus on trade.
