Job Description - Head of Business Development Analytical Labs

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives in the analytical labs sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the analytical labs industry in India.
Key Responsibility Area:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth in the analytical labs sector. Identify market opportunities and create comprehensive plans to capitalize on them.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Use this information to inform strategic decisions and identify new business opportunities.
- Client Acquisition: Identify, engage, and build relationships with potential clients. Develop proposals and presentations to secure new business deals.
- Partnerships and Alliances: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders, including industry bodies, academic institutions, and technology providers.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business development professionals. Foster a high-performance culture and ensure team members have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities. Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts to maximize profitability.
- Brand Development: Enhance the company's brand presence in the analytical labs market. Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote the company's capabilities.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities. Use data and analytics to measure success and make informed decisions.
Personal profiling:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the analytical labs industry.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the analytical labs sector, including regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and technological advancements.
