Key Job Responsibilities :
- Driving the category end to end as a revenue and contribution margin deliverable.
- Developing and executing annual category plans with a view to delivering on targets
- Define brand strategy for the year based on consumer/shopper insights, brand goals and business objectives
- Track consumer insights and industry trends to deliver a winning product and marketing mix.
- Assimilating knowledge about the market and the consumer through self-initiated and/or external market research, direct field and net based feedback to prepare market penetration strategies for the category.
- Proactively seeking consumer and trade insights on own products and competition.
- Identifying new product idea opportunities based on market/consumer understanding and need gaps and initiating product development briefs.
- Driving pricing decisions for existing and newSKUs/products.
- Reviewing SKU wise category's effectiveness on a monthly basis, suggesting and providing inputs to improve the same; conducting ABC analysis to delete underperforming SKUs.
- Consistent tracking of brand and product line performance in market and taking corrective actions wherever needed to correct anomalies.
- Effective inventory management to balance avails and demands resulting in delivering agreed obsolescence controls
- Plan, execute and measure marketing strategies, promotions and annual plans for a customer or specific channels to drive sales.
- Supervise category performance and metrics and serve as the feedback loop from sales and customers to resolve efficiency of initiatives and include promotional efficacy to improve return on investment.
- Evaluate and modify promotion or campaigns and GTM programs.
