Job Description
Position Summary:
- Responsible for providing leadership of sales and business development functions for the organization as well as, conceptualizing sales and channel strategies including institutional sales to establish a pan India reach for products, coordinate market and sales efforts and structures, and developing business growth opportunities and strategies
Role Description:
- Establish the organization’s business development strategy and advise the Central Leadership Team and the Heads of departments on sales strategies required for overall corporate growth of the organization covering institutional sales, focused customer and merchant segments
- Develop and oversee the implementation of sales and business development strategies for the organization in order to ensure the right mix of competitive services to best meet customer demands and achieve corporate goals
- Work towards achieving business plan and sales targets for each department / geographic region identified for sale of products with a defined action plan and strategy for each department
- Identify and develop marketing and sales strategies targeted to build a sales network and grow sales volumes through appropriate channels
- Evaluate marketing and sales budgets periodically including manpower-planning initiatives and ensuring adherence to planned expenses
- Oversee the execution of the tactical elements of sales to develop best practices and continuously improve effectiveness: sales model/processes/methodologies, competencies, productivity metrics, quota planning, compensation plan design, coverage model, territory design, lead generation management, departmental communications.
- Partner with sales management to oversee day-to-day process execution and adherence to policies, identify problems, recommend/take corrective action and communicate performance results and/or changes throughout sales organization and cross-functional business unit team.
Supervisory responsibilities:
- Teams reporting to the Head BD & Sales includes the Business Development & Sales functional team
- Department size: Approximately 1 to 2 direct reports

- Potentially a Senior Management Professional with experience in leading the Business Development & Sales Function, preferably in a start-up environment
Minimum qualifications:
Education: MBA or equivalent from a top tier institute
