Job Title : Head Audit

Location : Mumbai, INDIA

Job Purpose :

- Implement Audit's strategic priorities in his/her independent capacity for assigned International (IBG/FI) location.

- Interface with Regulators in the assigned International (IBG/FI) location for all Internal Audit related matters and ensure that all regulatory requirements and expectations are met.

- Evaluate operational processes related to Business Segments (Wholesale/Retail/TCM); Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime; Centralized Operations and other functional areas to identify risks and recommend corrective action/process changes aimed at enhancing effectiveness and efficiency of operations and risk management processes.

Key Result Areas :

- Perform annual Risk Assessment (GRAM) of the entire Audit Universe and prepare the Annual Audit Plan.

- Manage (where applicable) a team of specialist Resident Internal auditor(s) and deliver fulfilment of 100% of the Annual Audit Plan for the assigned Branch, ensuring adherence with all applicable IIA professional standards and Divisional Quality standards.

- Interface with the Regulators to represent the Resident Internal Audit function in the assigned jurisdiction. Ensure that regulatory requirements pertaining to Internal Audit in these locations are met in effective and timely manner.

- Plan and carry out audits, reviews, analyse and risk rank gaps according to various risk and value implications.

- Independently develop and prepare all reports in a professional manner for the Board Audit Committee/ HO Senior Management as required, with minimal intervention or guidance from the HO Internal Audit team.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience :

- Chartered Accountant / CPA/ MBA from a renowned university with audit experience and demonstrated abilities in a banking environment in areas of increasing responsibility; with supervisory/managerial level.

- Added CIA qualification will be given preference.

- Experience and qualifications in Wholesale and Retail Business and Risk Management areas etc.

- High calibre person with proven track record.

- Specialized knowledge, expertise and thorough understanding of various risks, implications.

- Team leadership qualities (confident, clarity of thoughts, etc.) and excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Result and business oriented disciplined thinker, a self-starter with strong analytical organization skills.
