Purpose of the Position :(Major purpose why this role exists in the organization)
1 The incumbent will be responsible for the Centre of Excellence Analytics. The role requires the incumbent to spearhead the end-to-end partnership process with the business to ensure that the business in its various departments understands its own health, finds growth levers and identifies opportunities for optimization.
2 The Head of Analytics leads the business through all efforts that drive business performance and potential using existing and new data sources and techniques.
3 This is a new role, and the incumbent is expected to set up the Analytics and Data governance mechanism and work with the CIO and other business stakeholders in deciding the organisation's strategy.
Detailed Responsibilities(Major responsibilities of this position) :
- Championing the Analytics Vision and engaging Business Leaders
- Create a mid to long-term analytics roadmap to support business growth clearly defining the measure of success.
- The incumbent will be responsible for setting up the analytics team and function from scratch, right from identifying the right talent and building a culture of performance across the team.
- Engage across different functions and levels and showcase the value of Analytics and help them use the insights in business. Proactively engage with the business & operations to support & drive organization priorities.
- Creating the Analytics framework and blueprint for execution. Develop an action plan to structure the next steps/tasks, assign corresponding timelines, and ensure the timely execution of agreed actionable plans.
- Provide a progress update to the senior management on fortnightly basis. The Progress update will showcase strategic insights & impactful business solutions.
- Creation and submission of the exhaustive business case for new initiatives basis requirements within the stipulated timelines.
- Effective communication/negations with the internal customers to ensure successful execution with ownership.
- People Development: Facilitating data management and governance structure to include establishing standards, policies, procedures, compliance, and prioritization.
- The candidate will also have had a proven and successful experience in the execution of data analytics initiatives, leading to the development of useful insights and the improvement of a business's performance and driving top-line growth.
- Database management from all core systems/sources of the organization, track the key parameters and provide analytical insights, segmentation schemes, and data-driven analyses to drive marketing and merchandising efforts around customer acquisition and conversion, efficiency in processes and people management.
- We are looking for a leader who will be responsible for setting up the Analytics function and spearheading the objectives of this role and the organisation.
- A seasoned leader with experience in leading this function/starting this function in his/her organisation.
- Strong understanding of consumer as a sector.
- The incumbent could be from the consumer industry or from consulting background managing CPG as an industry vertical
- Define and implement the strategy, policies and management procedures of advanced Data & Analytics aligned to the organization's strategy
- Define and administer data governance, including rules for structuring data, algorithms and models, ensuring quality and adoption of best practices
- Handle manipulation of master data, ensuring access to data and controlling and monitoring collection and transformation of data
- Design and generate reporting (business intelligence) regarding the operation of the business.
- Support decision-making and business growth by developing predictive and/or exploratory models of advanced analytics.
- Assess and integrate new capabilities relevant to the handling, processing and exploitation of data
- Ensure data are compatible among different business units and support areas.
- Build state-of-the-art AI/ML products that scale at an enterprise level to enhance customer experience, improve process efficiency & reduce cost.
- Be the bridge between the data analytics team & key business stakeholders. Work with key business stakeholders to identify opportunities for analytical insights, also communicate across business teams to help implementation

- Providing cross-functional support to consultation and delivery-based engagements to identify opportunities for analytics intervention.
- Drive adoption of next-generation analytics infrastructure on the cloud through the expansion of a big data analytics platform.
- Strong Business Acumen with a drive to achieve and collaborate.
- Proven communicator with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization and engage with direct and indirect reports and peers with excellent relationship management.
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and the ability for integrative conflict resolution.
- Strong analytical and product management skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into analytical requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Project management experience, Proven business analysis skills
- The ideal candidate will be a senior analytics leader with at least 12 to 15 years of experience & 4 years + in a similar role.
- He / She must have led a sizable analytics team and have some experience in building a centre and building and leading a team.
- Experience in diversified sectors is an added advantage, Combination of technology and business background, and a proven track record in delivering results.
- A long-term and big-picture, visionary perspective is required.
- The Head of Analytics must have a master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or any other related field. An equivalent of this requirement in working experience is also acceptable for the position.
- Data Modelling: - development, assessment, hypothesis testing and validations covering Classification, Attribution, Simulation, Forecasting, Predictive / Prescriptive modelling, Summarizations, Clustering, Digital Analytics, Social Media Analytics, Contextual, Unstructured data analytics, AI, Deep Learning and Machine Learning techniques and SAP BI/BO HANA
Educational Qualification Requirements :

- 12 to 15Years
Any other experience : (if any) Should have 4 years + in a similar role.
Preferably worked as: Work Level Senior Management cadre
