Role Overview:

- You will play a critical role in managing the financial health of the organization. You will oversee financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting activities, ensuring that LEO1's financial strategies align with its business objectives.


- Your responsibilities will include optimizing financial performance, managing risks, and providing strategic financial insights to senior leadership.


- You will lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


- This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities of the Position include but are not limited to:

Accounts and Finance:

- Ensuring maintenance of financial records in compliance with applicable laws.

- Timely monthly closure of books of accounts and preparation of Standalone Financial Statements

- Timely Revenue recognition and billing.

- Timely Vendor Payments

- Oversight of Payroll Processing

- Maintaining vendor relationships

- Automation and Transformation

- Driving and closing audits such as Statutory, Internal, Transfer Pricing & Tax Audit) and responding appropriately to auditor requests.

- Developing, documenting, and continuously improving accounting and business policies and internal control procedures in line with industry best practices

- Sound Treasury Management

MIS and Reporting:

- Analyzing monthly financial performance and effectively reporting information to the Management

- Developing annual budgets with the Management

- Effectively managing expenses within agreed budgets.

- Monitoring Business Performance against agreed plans, targets / budget, identify and take timely and appropriate action to address issues

- Developing monthly forecasting and other MIS and reporting it to the Management.

Compliance and Risk:

- Ensuring compliance to applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to :

- Ensuring GST Compliances and Filing

- Ensuring payroll Compliances including but not limited to PF, PT, Bonus etc.

- Ensuring Tax Compliances and Overseeing Tax assessments

- Ensuring secretarial Compliances and handling Board, shareholder and investor Matters

- Ensuring RBI Compliances

- Dealing with Regulators such as RBI, ROC for inspections, audits etc.

Investor Management:

- Dealing with investors for reporting and potential investors for due diligence

- Liaise with bankers to develop relationship, identify funding requirements, raising working capital, Capex/Opex and appropriate funding options, ensure documentation requirements for banking.

Legal:

- With the help of external consultants

- Drafting, Vetting, Reviewing, Negotiating and closing Agreements, Contracts, MOUs with external parties

- Dealing on specific matters including litigations

Strategy and Risk Management:

- Advising Founders on strategic decisions, its financial impact, legal implications and associated risks

- Identifying risks associated with business operations and proposing strategies to mitigate those risks and Implementing risk management policies and procedures.

- Instituting Business Continuity Plan

Key Attributes of a successful applicant:

- Chartered Accountant with 7-10 years of relevant experience

- Strong People Management skills

- Effective Communication skills

- Champion of various processes within Finance

- Experience of working with Start-ups

- Fintech experience desirable
