- The Project Privacy Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing all of the essential elements of a Privacy Program, including Privacy Impact assessments, implementing policies and processes, conducting trainings, auditing and monitoring, and other such metrics.

- She/He need to be conversant with global privacy practices like OECD and APEC.

- The Privacy Program ensures that all applications/ infrastructure being supported by HCL are compliant to various Data Protection laws and contractual requirements. The Privacy Program includes, but is not limited to privacy of applications, Infrastructure process and operational privacy.

- The Project Privacy Officer will work closely with Information Technology team, the legal and the corporate team which handles the Client Compliance to proactively develop and monitor internal controls to manage, detect, and mitigate privacy risks with applications and operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a degree in law with good understanding of IT landscape or/andMBA

- CIPP certification from IAPP

Experience:

- 6-8 years of on Data privacy & protection compliance.

- Implementation Knowledge of Privacy laws and regulations of EU, (General Privacy principles, European Union 95/46/EC, 2002/58/EC, 2009/136/EC, UK DPA, Safe harbor principles, Model clauses, etc).

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to interact and pursue at any level of the organization
