- The Head of Alumni Relation and Student Counselor is expected to create an outstanding virtuous circle of support and engagement between alumni and the School, and among alumni, building lifelong connections that are mutually beneficial. The person will be responsible for counselling students from time to time - at the time of admissions or / and for their further education.
- This is achieved by providing a variety of services, benefits, programmes and communications designed to help build alumni connections, foster engagement, generate pride, and create opportunities for, and encourage, alumni involvement in the ongoing success of the School
- The Head of Alumni Relations and Student Counsellor at one of the schools of Shiv Nadar Foundation is responsible for the planning and implementation of programs and projects that strategically engage alumni in strengthening programs and provide tangible benefits to alumni and current students.
- The Head of Alumni Relations and Student Counsellor organizes and manages events and activities that meet diverse alumni needs,enhance the School's reputation; and support the strategic goals of the School including development, admissions, student affairs, placement, etc. The person will organize participation in career fairs, counselling events.
Serving as an ambassador, The Head of Alumni Relations is charged with securing commitments from alumni to provide professional expertise and volunteer service; partnering with Development colleagues to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward alumni giving; and serving as a liaison between the alumni and the academic and administrative leadership.
- We are looking at anyone from the social sector who would be keen in taking up this role. Candidate must be MSW from a college of repute.
- Develop, recommend and implement strategies for marketing and promoting alumni activities, programs and services to encourage alumni involvement and participation
- Responsible for being an active thought leader in how to increase alumni participation and engagement through relevant and meaningful events and programs
- To keep alumni connected to each other and the institution, encourage and promote the professional development of alumni on an individual level, keep the alumni community aware of the Foundation developments and needs, including fundraising opportunities and achievements.
- The person will also be responsible for mentorship, tracking each student E2E etc. So, a lot of promotion work is involved too.
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the Office of Alumni Relations including managing alumni correspondence and walk-ins
- Formulate and execute a communications program supporting annual giving
- Oversee alumni programs and participation involving Homecoming.
- Execute all aspects of alumni events planning, including establishing program goals, managing budgets and communicating with various individuals and entities, both within the College and external organizations
- Developing opportunities for alumni engagement such as volunteer initiatives, career days, alumni student events and reunions
- Establish and build relationships with a wide range of alumni, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally; and in collaboration with public relations staff, maintain regular communication with alumni via direct contact, email blasts, alumni web pages, and print publications that include the alumni magazine as well as the management of relevant content on social networking platforms such as Facebook and Linked-in
- Partner with the Coordinator of Career Services to plan the growth and accessibility of career networking services for students and alumni
