Position - Bid Manager
Location - Chennai
Experience - 6 -12 yrs
Qualification: BE/MCA/MBA
Skills: Minimum 1 yr experience in a bid management role, 5+ years experience in delivery role (project/program management) managing bespoke application development on web applications, open systems and legacy applications, Extensive experience in SDLC, PMP/Prince 2 certification desired, Demonstrate strong experience in delivery models and quality processes (CMMI), Experience in Function Point and Use Case estimation methodologies, Multi-tasking abilities and cross function knowledge, past experience and exposure in Bid Management (RFx’s), Pre-Sales and Project Management, Prior IT experience in Proposals and Bid Management

Responsibilities of a Bid Manager (Pre Sales Resource)
- Participate in the discussions with the client during the bid life cycle including solution workshops, Solution presentations along with Sales
- Display Thought Leadership by Preparing Service Articulations/GTM strategies, Publishing White Papers, participating in Industry Forums/Events & Developing Case Studies
- Remain abreast with the latest technologies in the concerned domain & advise solutions in line with HCL capability
- Leverage cross functional teams (ADM, Infrastructure, BPO, horizontal practices, Domain, HR, Legal, Business Finance) to deliver an integrated solution/proposition
- Responsible for solution reviews
- Responsible for estimation reviews
- Responsible for pricing reviews
- Responsible for winning business by management of a healthy win/bid ratio
- Develop good understanding of the designate industry segment and update knowledge periodically on market indicators, IT Spend, outsourcing trends, top 20 customers, opportunities available
- Develop good understanding of competition to be able to create differentiator for HCL offerings/ pricing in the bid
