Context
The MSI function with the Data Center Services is focused on executing transition management & transformation management of the delivery of DC services to customers, with the Regional Delivery Units as the key interface between the customers focused delivery teams and the rest of the HCL organization.
He should possess deep knowledge in at least two area of DC services (Windows, Unix/ Linux, Storage & Backup, DC Networks & Virtualization technologies) and fair understanding of all other technology areas. He should also have good knowledge of processes and methodologies, experienced in handling of large scale transition & transformation projects, a high degree of cultural sensitivity and excellent communication skills are critical for the role.
Roles and Responsibilities
The primary objectives of the Role are:
- Ability to respond to tight RFP timelines and technical solutions for transformation with appropriate technical team support
- Ability to support Due Diligence, Transition & Transformation projects in the region
- Ability to work in virtual team environment offshore/ onsite delivery model
- Ability to build strong relationships with technical team members in geo deliveries to formulate extended teams
- Ability to foresee the emerging technologies & market trends
- Ability to forecast demand and recruit necessary talent both in India and US market
- Experience in running professional services via ESS channel
- Implement standard governance, reporting and escalation processes across
- Leading a team of more than 50 people comprising hard core techies in DC space
- Ability to motivate, mentor team and develop necessary skills/ roadmap for career progression
Experience: experience in IT space involving large scale, multi-location DC service transitions (with onsite & offshore delivery model) and transformations is necessary.
