POSITION OVERVIEW

- The Asst Manager-Costing reports to THE FP&A and Costing manager and has PRIMARY, responsibility for

- Being incharge of costing and Business support

KEY COMPETENCIES

- Hands on knowledge of costing processes

ROLE

PRIMARY DUTIES

- This individual will be involved in a variety of costing decisions and business support functions

PRIMARY DUTY –

(40% OF TIME FOCUSED ON THIS DUTY)

PRODUCT COSTING AND INVENTORY ACCOUNTING

- Inventory Valuation and Validation

- Sample Accounting and Stock adjustment

- Inventory reconcilition (Misys/Accpac) with GL

- Determination of Slow moving and Obsolete Inventory and reserve calculation as per HBF policy

- Review Inventory periodic count and variance for Pune ad external warehouse

- Rework Yield loss analysis

- Monthly WAA cost calculation and update in Misys

- Inventory FL and MOH cost calculation

- Reconcilition of Control Accounts

SUPPORT TO FP & A

(30% OF TIME FOCUSED ON THIS DUTY)

- Preparation of Customer price increase

- Preparation of Purchase Price increase

- Monthly Finanacial analysis reporting to region

- Preparation and reporting BI Datawarehouse reports

- Working for pricing to potential markets/customers

- Preparation of Sales and profitability reports

MIS AND CLOSING

(20% OF TIME FOCUSED ON THIS DUTY)

- Closing books monthly for P&L upto Operating Profit

- Trial Balance scrutiny

- Reveiew and send Trial balance reconcilition to region

- Review and send schedules of TB to region

- Other monthly and quarterly report requirements

ACCPAC/MISYS MASTER DATA MAINTENANCE

(10% OF TIME FOCUSED ON THIS DUTY)

- Creation and maintenance of GL and Accounts sets in Accpac and Misys

- Master maintenance and setups in Misys to ensure accurate accounting and data posting

- Review and post transactions from Misys.

- Maintenance of tax setups in Misys

- Ensure system controls in Misys /Accpac

EMPLOYEES SUPERVISED - Nil

BUDGETARY/FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY - NA

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- ICWA – DEGREE TYPE AND DISCIPLINE

- MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE- 3 yrs in costing and General ledger

- Good Communication, decision making, teamwork etc.

- ERP exposure and Excel expertise

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Post graduate in commerce

- Similar experience in similar industry
