About the Company:
This opportunity is with Handelnine Global, an e-commerce company that owns and operates 15+ online retail brands in over 60 countries. The company has offices in India as well as the USA and serves global markets including the UK, USA, Europe, Australia, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
This is a hybrid opportunity.
Role and Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development:
- Develop and execute a strategy to expand Handelnine's core business model to broad array of global marketplaces
- Identify and assess new growth opportunities in diverse global markets
- Craft comprehensive strategic plans for product launches across multiple sales channels to maximize revenue and market presence
Supply Partnerships and Sourcing Strategy:
- Lead the experimentation and refinement of sourcing models, such as direct procurement from brands, distributors, and manufacturers, to optimize cost and product quality
- Establish and nurture relationships with key partners to drive reliable and profitable sourcing.
- Negotiate strategic agreements and partnerships that align with the company's growth objectives.
-This includes leading procurement for our private label initiatives to build exclusive product lines
Data-Driven Decision-Making:
- Utilize data and analytics to monitor business development performance, supply chain metrics, and market trends.
- Implement KPIs and metrics to track the success of new initiatives, enabling early course correction and strategic alignment.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team dedicated to business development and supply partnerships, ensuring they have clear goals and the necessary support.

Requirements:

- Act as a proactive leader, identifying opportunities, overcoming challenges, building a team and driving projects to completion with minimal day to day supervision.
- Lead with a results-focused approach, ensuring that strategic objectives are translated into actionable plans that are effectively executed.
Experience and Expertise:
- 8+ years of experience in business development or partnerships, preferably within the e-commerce or consumer goods industries.
- Proven track record of working in global teams with a strong ability to influence and collaborate across various departments.
Analytical and Communication Skills:
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and use data to drive strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and motivate both internal and external stakeholders.
