Group Brand Manager - OTC and Traditional Medicines/Ethical Medicines (Herbal/Ayurvedic/Unani)

Role Description

- Assist the Head Marketing to develop the annual operating Strategy and long term road map for the Hamdard's OTC and traditional medicine portfolio.

- Prepare annual plans and budgets for all brands in the H2 portfolio.

- Achieve brand M.S and Sales targets to build enduring and profitable brands for the company

- Design and execute Communication strategy for the customers: doctors/hakims, consumers

- Design & execute the planned divisional activity including CMEs & other on-ground events /initiatives

- Undertake Field work to capture insights on strategies, and other related activities

- Co ordinate with sales team for effective implementation of designed strategies. Ensure quality & timely delivery of inputs to the field force.

- Closely coordinate with Medical for Medico Marketing support.

- Ensure effective cross functional interaction with other functional areas like Supply chain, HR & Finance for achievement of brand objectives.

- Maintain the advertising budgets within targets & monitor ROI on brand strategies

- Undertake feasibility analyses/market research for new opportunities.

- Develop market entry strategy for previously untapped geographies based on market intelligence

- Manage New Product Development and Re- Development Projects

- Evaluate opportunities to improve profitability by minimizing cost through evaluation of process, packaging

Job Requirements

- Minimum 8 years brand marketing experience with atleast 4-5 years in Ethical / Pharmaceutical brand management.

- Prior marketing experience in Ayurvedic / Unani / Traditional Indian medicine & OTC categories is preferable.

- Science / Pharmacy graduate + MBA from a good institute

- Team player and management experience.

- Work experience in cross functional teams with strong personal communication skills.

- Should be preferably handling a team.

- Strong initiation and follow through skills.

- Interest in understanding / finding Consumer Insights and Market/ Competitor developments.

- Capabilities in application of MS excel, powerpoint etc .
