Industry - Pharma/Food/FMCG, preferably from Herbal industry, has handled more than INR 100 crore procurement

- Strong in Crude Drugs i.e. Herbs sourcing and procurement

- Good knowledge of packaging materials, pkg. development and costing

- Has worked on SAP/Microsoft Navison

- Develop strategy for long-term procurement planning and the annual procurement budget

- Ensure Strategic Sourcing partnerships to continually optimize the cost of procurements

- Establish policies & procedures related to Sourcing & Planning

- Guide Procurement Planner in preparation of Procurement Plans based on the Demand & ction Production plans and current Inventory levels

- Ensure availability of Basic Raw Materials including Herbs/Crude Drugs, Packaging Material and other commonly used items on a continuous basis to minimize chances of stoppage of production

- Streamline the Supply Chain processes and leverage the ERP to monitor & eliminate the bull-whip effect for Sourcing & Procurement

- Ensure adequate focus on cost by adherence to procurement budget and supply planning

- Ensure procured material is supplied to the businesses as per specified quantity, quality & timelines

- Ensure cost of Procurement is optimized

- Ensure inventory carrying cost is optimized

- Track Supply Chain cost metrics across leading players in the Industry and benchmark against the same

- Liaise, conduct evaluations and award contracts to vendors for sourcing of Raw Materials, Chemicals, Packaging Materials and other commonly used materials

- Develop a database of vendors by various types of Materials

- Monitor performance & quality of approved vendors

- Develop vendor capability to support the projected growth rates of Hamdard and the demand-supply gap of Materials
