Position : Group Lead Job Evaluation & Performance Management

Reporting To : Group Head - Performance & Rewards
Job Profile : Group Lead Job Evaluation & Performance will assist Group Head - Performance & Rewards on the matters related to the portfolio.
Job Clustering & Banding :
- With the advent and establishment of Job Analysis, Clustering & Banding as the fulcrum to role design, position management and organization structuring within the group in the context of our future growth it is necessary to manage this portfolio with clear focus and tight control.
- This profile and linked areas are recent addition to the Performance and Rewards portfolio.
KRA for this role are the following :
a) Job Analysis :
- Position is expected to conduct Job Analysis through Job descriptions and other available information on the role, it entails analyzing and auditing large number of roles across businesses.
- Incumbent needs to conduct periodic audit of Roles, Structure and KRA (in SF), their alignment and report anomaly for correction if any.
- Position needs to bring sanctity to role definition and manage them by checking overlaps with other roles.
- Should have deep understanding of all generic managerial functions and develop broad knowledge on the workings of Operations job family for each of the individual businesses.
b) Organization structure :
- Audit organization structure in line with changes as per strategic plan of individual businesses and consult on tentative impact it may have on other parts of the structure elsewhere in terms of overlaps and conflicts.
- Clearly understand changes in the Managerial accountability hierarchy.
- Should discuss changes in structure with Function Heads, Human Resource Heads and Department Heads to guide them for achieving optimum span of controls and number of levels, thereby reducing redundancy.
c) Job Evaluation :
- Partner with business HR and External consultant for evaluating roles across businesses.
- Understand the consulting partner's Job Evaluation tool and gain finesse on Evaluation Factors and point system.
d) Governance :
- Chalk out governance mechanism for entire porfolio and percolate to various stakeholders including employees at large.
- Incumbent is expected to gain finesse on internal SAP, Org Trix, Success Factor modules and handle processes related JAE, Clustering and Banding.
Performance Management :
a) Assist the Head Performance & Rewards in formulating and implementing the long term Performance philosophy and strategy for the group. Analyze sector-wise performance trends and parameters to assist compensation programs and other specific company interventions.
b) Manage the yearly Performance management activity partnering with the Compensation team members for on time completion of the process with adequate depth. Define year wise performance management plan and governance mechanism. Introduce new innovative processes for better control and quality of PM interventions.
c) Conduct training interventions for various stakeholders at different junctures such as Goal Setting, Appraiser & Appraisee discussions, performance curve etc. Conduct regular Role Goal alignment audit for N-3 levels across businesses. Conduct various Surveys to check employee pulse around PM processes both pre and post ASR.
d) Formulate and manage a definitive multi-modal communication plan for touch-base with employees and stakeholders alike across businesses. Manage PMS data and draw conclusions from it as required to be presented to leadership teams and NRC's of various businesses.
Education Profile (Include years & areas of experience):
- 6-15 Years of Post MBA (HR) experience, high-end data-handling skills on Excel (formula based linkage) is must.
- Knowledge of Job Evaluation process is essential, understanding of Performance management cycle and activities is desirable.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Deadline management with stakeholders.
- Structured thought process, high degree of tenacity and persistence is required to be successful on the job.
