Group HR Manager
Industry- Discrete Manufacturing
Location: Mahadevapura, Bengaluru
About the Role: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Group HR Manager to oversee human resources functions for two companies within our manufacturing domain, specializing in ball bearings and tapered roller bearings. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between the labor force and management, ensuring effective communication and implementation of HR strategies. This role requires a strong background in industrial relations, plant HR, and factory HR management, with a focus on maintaining employment policies and fostering a productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Management:
- Design, plan, and implement HR programs for the plant.
- Administer corporate policies related to compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, and health and safety.
- Oversee subordinate staff to ensure project and department goals are met within budget.
2. Communication and Coordination:
- Handle communication across two companies, including hiring, policy development, appraisals, and internal training.
- Travel to Malur twice a week for on-site management and coordination.
3. Administrative Oversight:
- Manage paperwork, employee communications, benefits maintenance, leave tracking, and management reports.
- Maintain records of salaries, wages, work hours, and fair employment practices.
4. Employee Relations:
- Conduct accident investigations and manage workers' compensation claims.
- Create termination packages and ensure compliance with termination procedures.
- Oversee performance management and assist in salary planning.
5. Labor Relations:
- Develop and implement labor policies.
- Handle grievance procedures and manage dispute resolutions.
- Ensure HR staff compliance with union contracts and advise management on negotiations.
6. Project Management:
- Lead HR-related projects and initiatives, maintaining and distributing HR-related spreadsheets.
- Head monthly labor management meetings and prepare documentation for labor relations assignments.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial/Labor Relations.
- 15+ years of experience in HR, with 10 to 12 years in a supervisory role within manufacturing units or factories.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Special Requirements:
- Experience in managing HR functions across multiple companies.
- Ability to travel to Malur twice a week.
- Proven track record in handling industrial relations and labor management in a manufacturing setting.
