Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to the Human Resource function by overseeing employee relations, payroll, compensation and benefits, employment, training, Health & Safety
- Analyze workforce metrics (turnover, retention, diversity, hiring, etc.) to determine necessary action plans
- Set quantifiable measures and goals, reviewing progress toward achievement of human capital goals on a continuous bases
- Establish the strategic Human Resources agenda to ensure that the human capital needs of organization are anticipated and addressed in accordance with changing business environment
- Guide the development and implementation of employee-related programs and processes that will both support the business requirements of the company and drive a culture of success
- Implement integrated performance management systems to ensure focus on business goals, development of employee capabilities and career potential, aligned reward systems and retention of talent
- Build organizational capability to discern the need for change, assimilate change and garner the appropriate sponsorship for change
- Specifically drive the culture towards one of performance and accountability
- Ensure full compliance with all existing governmental and labour reporting requirements
- Coach and counsel managers to address performance issues that impede business results; work with managers to improve engagement of teams and raise the performance of talent in key segments of the workforce
- Collect data on internal and external best practices; is an advocate for new ways of working and aligning people strategy with business goals.
