These Solutions are customized suiting specific Customer's business setting and address specific pain points. TMI Group comprises of 3 Companies - TMI Network, C&K Management and TMI e2E.

We have been mandated by A Group Company to hire a Senior Professional for a Group-level role that involves Quality, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and HSE.

Position title : Head, Group Quality, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, HSE (AVP/VP Level)

Position Reports to : Chairman/Vice Chairman and closely work with the apex leadership

What is the Job Type : Permanent

No of Position (s) : ONE

Assessment Stages :

- An Interview Panel comprising of Group Heads

- Another one or two members of the Group, SME / External Expert

- Chairman/ Vice Chairman - if required

Job Location : Hyderabad

Purpose of the Role :

- Formulate strategy and to provide leadership for development, implementation & maintenance of Quality Management System and operational Excellence; for building Lean & Continuous Improvement culture and institutionalizing; establish and deploy HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) best practices and management systems for sustainable growth

Strategic Roles :

- Continuously explore methods to improve competitiveness of the Group Companies through effective interventions in quality and continuous improvements

- Continuously monitor and audit HSE systems and ensure compliances so that prestige of AR Group remains as a responsible Corporate Player

Operational Roles :

Quality Systems :

- Develop comprehensive MIS reporting to monitor quality levels; train personnel to analyze MIS and devise effective methods of addressing them

- Work with internal manufacturing engineers, external vendors, experts in the domain for assuring quality

- Set stiff targets for improvements and support teams across all businesses in achieving them

- Provide leadership in obtaining / continuation of certifications

Continuous Improvements :

- Take leadership in driving teams to inculcate a culture of Kaizen or continuous improvement

- Declare stiff targets for improvement across various businesses processes

- Support teams across businesses in realizing quantifiable improvements on productivity, cost, flexibility and such parameters

Lean Manufacturing :

- Work with internal teams, vendors, domain experts for planning and implementing world-class manufacturing (WCM) processes, like JIT, SMED, Zero Defects, visual management systems etc

Health & Safety :

- Establish OHS (Occupational Health & Safety) practices and systems; plan and monitor their effective implementation

- Provide leadership in obtaining / continuation of certifications

Environment :

- Plan pro-actiively, develop and effectively implement appropriate environment management systems

- Provide leadership in obtaining / continuation of certifications

Tactical Roles :

- Maintain relations with Consulting Firms, Certification bodies, Educational Institutions (universities, B School etc), HR employer branding institutions, Vendors, PCB, Dept of Factories, Fire Dept

Brief Profile of Candidate :

- BE (Chemical/Mechanical) Engineer, age, strictly, between 42-&-49 yrs; PG Diploma in Safety is desirable. He should have occupied a leadership position over recent 3-to-5 yrs in driving Quality Systems, Continuous Improvement programs, OHS & ENV management systems and performance improvements. Preferably from manufacturing background in a conglomerate set up with multiplant exposure

Top KRAs & KPIs :

- Year-on-Year quantifiable improvements in quality leading to improved product reliability and customer satisfaction

- Number of Kaizens undertaken across one of multiple business processes and quantifiable impact made on business results (be they cost, turn-around-time, error-proofing and such)

- Zero or no "comments" or "observations" from regulatory authorities for environment, safety; Zero or no "reportable incidents"

Technical / Domain Competencies Required:

- QMS - ISO 9001 & TS 16949 (preferred); Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, 5S, TPM; Sustainability reporting (preferred)

- Factories Act on Safety requirements; Safety best practices & systems; Environmental & OHS Management sytems - ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001

- Machine safety controls; Knowledge on Pollution control equipment's; ventilation systems, ETP & STP

Top 3 Competencies:

- Should have worked in a comparable role with a manufacturing-dominant Conglomerate with mult-business multi-location and a turnover of at least Rs 3,000 Crores; (a slight bias to auto components)

- Should have demonstrated significant improvement in quality of product to the extent of becoming a business differentiator

- Should have led or maintained the tempo of a Kaizen culture and demonstrated a significant improvement in diverse business process on relevant parameters

- Should have managed the environment and safety aspects without or with near zero "observations" or "events"
