Our client are a leading Engineering Manufacturing company with a robust presence in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. With a workforce of 300 to 500 employees and a focus on Metals and Mining, They are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our Purchase team.

Job Description:

As the Group Head Purchase, you will play a critical role in managing our procurement activities. Your extensive experience in Engineering products and companies, coupled with your expertise in materials management, will be invaluable in ensuring the efficient sourcing of raw materials, consumables, capex, and project-related items.

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently handle a purchase portfolio of at least 200 crores, including raw materials, consumables, capex, and projects.

- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate favorable terms, and leverage volume purchases.

- Oversee and optimize the supply chain across multiple locations to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.

- Collaborate closely with plant teams and other stakeholders to align procurement strategies with the company's objectives.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.

- Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/DME/Mech/Met) or Commerce graduate with a degree in Materials Management.

- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Engineering products and companies.

- Prior experience in the Metals/Mining sector is preferred.

- Proven track record of managing purchases of at least 200 crores independently.

- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to create value through volume purchases.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a multi-location supply chain environment.

Salary Range:

The salary for this position is in the range of 20 to 24 lakhs per annum, commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
