Chief Operating Officer – Ozone Group of Companies (Pharmaceutical and Ayurvedic)
Summary of position:
The person will be responsible for the transformational growth and overall performance of the company with initial thrust on the pharmaceutical business. He/she would be the key person for realizing group’s ambitious plans for next five years by initially putting pharmaceutical business on an industry leading growth path. The initial focus would be on creating a new segment, developing institutional sales and international markets.
- Reporting to the promoter of the group, the person will have the responsibility of identifying, evaluating and then executing new opportunities. With committed support from the promoter and a large portion of performance linked pay, person will work as an entrepreneur the person has the unique opportunity to create as big a success for himself/herself along with the company
Major responsibilities/tasks:
- Putting company on an industry leading growth path
- New product launch & management and channel management
- Build a new segment, develop institutional sales and international markets with an ambitious and focused approach
- Business unit team leadership - inspiring & directing sales, marketing & medical teams
- Hire a winning team to execute the above
Desired candidate profile: A person with through-out proven track record of success and a very strong desire to transform business and people performance. Person should have a proven ability of bringing together and motivating large team towards a common goal.
Education: MBA from one of these institutes - IIMs, ISB, XLRI, FMS, MDI, SPJain, JBIMS; or equivalent outside India
Desired experience and skills:
- BU head in a pharmaceutical company with responsibility for at least INR 50 crore of turnover
- Approx. 10-12 years of experience in sales/marketing/operations management/business development in pharmaceuticals industry with proven track record of exceeding targets and optimizing costs
- Experience in new channel development and new product launch
- Proven track record of building and mentoring teams
- Very strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to break complex problems into simpler issues
- Self starter, hands-on approach and high motivation, with minimal supervision required
- Above all, a person with a relentless desire for success and high performance
Type of role: Permanent
Location: Delhi with some domestic travel as required
Compensation: INR 35-40 lacs per annum CTC out of which 40-50% would be performance linked variable pay. Scope of a very large incentives that are over and above 30-35 lpa, inked to: optimizing company’s cost to sales ratio (CSR) and sales.

The second company, Ozone Ayurvedics, is a Consumer Healthcare business, and the former-owner of the power brand NOMARKS. Ozone pharmaceuticals popular brands include DFO Gel for pain management and Osil. The group has manufacturing facilities in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh and Guwahati, Assam.
