The Organization (About the Client)

The group is substantially scaling up its operations in India / SEA - from 200 current locations to over 10,000+ locations across formats the country by 2020. Turnover well over USD500 million

The Assignment :

The position is largely GROWTH / EXTERNAL / BUSINESS focused - Finance / Resourcing (debt / equity) / fund management / investor relationship.

The Group will be 4 to 5 company operations spanning different product / price segment. Expected to be a 20,000+ units / 1,00,000+ man operation.

To take charge of Finance Resourcing & Commercial function of the company reporting to the Group CEO. Company CFO will report to him

He will partner the Group CEO in scaling-up the business 10 fold in 3 years - providing proactive support in strategic planning, finance and resourcing, systems and controls, and handling multiple banking / PE / Investor relationships.



Will be responsible for all Accounting, MIS, Systems & Controls, Banking & Resourcing, Commercial, Compliance & Secretarial Functions of all the operating companies and the holding company.

To assist with evaluation of future funding requirements and organisation of appropriate and cost effective financing. Assist in developing fund raising strategies with the support of the shareholders; maximising shareholder value while reducing financial risk.

Work closely with banks, lawyers, potential investors to negotiate and secure project and investment funding.

Growth may be through land acquisition, construction of new businesses, acquisition of existing businesses or through joint ventures. Assist in negotiating and structuring loans with financial institutions - including project finance and syndicated loans.

h) Design, direct and implement cash management program and lead initiatives to manage the global cash positions to reduce banking expenses and optimise the short term cash position. Manage the region's short term liquidity effectively in a way which is appropriate within each region with appropriate relationships with suppliers.

The Person (Candidate Details)

Experience :

a) Around 45 - 50 yrs.

b) CA + CS / MBA preferred

c) Strong on Accounting, MIS, Systems & Controls, Banking & resourcing, Commercial

d) Must have worked in a group of companies turnover in excess of 1000 crores in a group corporate role.

e) Initial experience in a system driven company / group followed by experience in entrepreneur / owner driven high growth group.

f) MNC experience highly desirable.
