Group Chief Financial Officer

Company Profile:-

The family office of a high net worth businessman/investor is looking for a Group CFO based at Mumbai to assist the Chairman in Financial and Legal aspects of the business. The group has interests in:

1. Financial investments in Indian and International markets;

2. Trading and manufacturing activities in West Africa (Nigeria and Ghana);

3. Property portfolios in Singapore and Spain;

4. Community developmental activities in India and Nigeria.

Job Profile

- Responsible to build a conceptual business plan on structuring the Finance and Legal function so that is supports the vision and aspirations specially in areas of

- New Business opportunities specially in India and Nigeria

- The Philanthropic initiatives and fulfilment of the long term vision

- Support the present investment team in streamlining and implementing the Finance and Legal/Compliance structure

- Continuously explore new opportunities of investments and make a project proposal for review of the Chairman

- Periodically review all the projects implemented, those in progress and ensure that the required milestones, financial numbers etc. are achieved

- Provide leadership and direction to the CEO’s of various initiatives specially in the areas of Finance and Legal

- Drive the culture of Financial and legal discipline within the Organisation

- This position will be the sounding board of the Chairman for all business opportunities that will be available and the final decision on investments will be of the Chairman

Candidate Profile:

- Maturity & ability to interact with colleagues, professionals, bankers, family members etc.

- Self motivation and perseverance to achieve the set objectives.

- Willingness to travel depending on the needs of the job.

- Ability to understand the risk profile of the investor; look for investment opportunities.

- Strong financial and accounting knowledge; ability to generate MIS suitable for decision making.

- Understanding and interpretation of legal and taxation issues to ensure compliance with laws but at the same time provide flexible and cost efficient structures.

- Experience of interacting with banks for borrowings, guarantees and other financial arrangements.

- General awareness/interest in the events taking place in the international financial markets.

Education- CA with legal qualification
