We are looking for an experienced and accomplished Group Chief Financial Officer based at our Corporate Office, Chennai. The position holder will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction and success of Group Companies.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning-Lead and drive the Group's financial planning, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy
- Financial Reporting - Close quarterly books of accounts for the Group and publish financial results in a timely and accurate manner
- Financial Advisory - Provide expert financial and business advice to Group companies, ensuring they meet their respective Revenue Growth and EBITDA targets
- Forecasting and Budgeting - Efficiently manage financial forecasts and budgets, providing insights for improved cost management and decision-making
- Financial Compliance - Prepare and submit financial reports at the Group level adhering to Indian Accounting Standards
- Risk Management - Proactively manage financial and operational risks through a comprehensive governance and compliance approach
- Fund raising and Investment Strategy - Control and evaluate the Organizational fund-raising plans and Capital structure and make strategic decisions on investments considering cash and liquidity risks
- Cash Flow Management - Review every company's financial position and ensure adequate cash flow for business operations by keeping the Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) on the lower side
- Stakeholder Management -Maintain a balanced approach to relationship management with all stakeholders, working to protect their interests
- Process Optimization & Technology Adoption -Leverage technology to optimize existing processes and drive efficiency
- Strategic Initiatives-Collaborate with Board to identify, recommend, launch, review and drive strategic and innovative business initiatives to elevate Group Companies to higher levels of business success
- Organizational Business Plan - Partner with Business Operations Leaders of the Group to develop and execute plans of action, review milestone progress and provide insights for short and long-term growth
- Inorganic Growth Plans-Explore and conduct research on new business opportunities for inorganic growth and forward-looking business models enabling Group Companies reach next higher level; conduct due diligence on potential opportunities and provide recommendations on returns and risks
- People and Leadership Development - Guide, coach and mentor Direct Reports and junior colleagues to foster the development of strong leadership pipeline besides contributing to a high-trust and high-performance workplace
- Chartered Accountant with good academic record
- 20 + years of demonstrated financial leadership experience including a minimum of 5 years in a publicly traded company of good standing
- Proven experience as CFO in a listed company with annual revenue not less than Rs.2000 crores
- Previous experience in consulting, audit, or assurance practices, preferably from Big 6 Firms
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Highly proficient in the use of MS Office and SAP work environment
- Strategic Thinker with problem solving abilities
- Sound knowledge and exposure to mergers and acquisitions
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills
- Results driven and strategic thought leader
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Analytical mindset with comfort in dealing with numbers
