Gourmet Garden - Senior Operations Manager - F&V

Gourmet Garden, a Series A funded fresh fruits, vegetables and food essentials start-up based out of Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai

We are looking to hire a Sr. Operations Manager to handle F&V operations for the region

Roles & responsibilities of Sr. Operations Manager for Chennai,

Head of operations, will be responsible for end-to-end for all P&L performance and health outcomes in the city.

1. Deliver unparalleled Customer Service across quality, fulfilment, and last mile - to enable hypergrowth in the region.

2. Manage and optimise margins by ensuring high manpower productivity, introducing automation, reducing wastage, and reducing other costs.

3. Coordinate and enable local supply networks, working jointly with category teams

4. Support and enable local demand generation activities, working closely with the growth team

5. Growth and profitability planning: Weekly, Monthly, Annual and 3-5-year business planning exercise in line with the growth and profitability aspirations of the company.

6. Day to day execution ownership: Overseeing all operations within cities in the region, working closely with team and vendors to ensure benchmark customer experience, lowest cost-effective execution, employee experience and building market leadership. Tracking all KPIs on day-to-day basis.

7. Business excellence: Putting in place new systems, processes, and guidelines that significantly change the revenue and cost trajectory for the region and make execution excellence repeatable and person independent.

8. Supply distinctiveness: Owning the total supply and partnerships with farmers and select suppliers, ensuring highest quality graded produce is secured at target gross margins.

9. Demand activation: Constantly innovating and experimenting on ROI driven approaches to reach target consumer, enabled by building deep understanding of consumer habits, local cultural context, channel effectiveness, and learnings from other brands.

10. Supply chain: Overseeing all hub and logistics from the point of first mile, inwarding, grading and packing, inventory control, order batching, quality audits, cash management, last mile to consumer/retail, for the cities in Chennai region.

11. Team building: Attracting and retaining ambitious and driven talent who are mentored to excel in their specific roles, always s in impact delivery and 'building' mode.
