Goodbox is a fast growing start-up that gives businesses an app presence by helping them create their store on the Goodbox app within 5 minutes. It also allows consumers to download the app and buy from their trusted businesses on app. This means that Goodbox ties up with a lot of offline retail outlets that comprise the superset of what most FMCG & Pharma companies would target - supermarkets, grocery stores, restaurants, canteens, pharmacies, laundries, meat shops etc.
Businesses find it difficult to create an app (costs lakhs and takes at least 6 months) and consumers don't want to download multiple apps for multiple things. Goodbox is the best solution for both these parties. You can read more about the company and the founding team
The founders are alums of the redBus foundation team and IIM-Bangalore.
Expectation :
Goodbox is a made-in-India idea and unique. It's not being done anywhere in the world. We are re-creating internet commerce on mobile. We are enabling millions of businesses (especially offline ones) with commerce-enabled technology that helps them start selling on an app in minutes - something they find difficulty with.
The expectation is to get the retailer to adopt this solution and start getting their customers on the platform.
Role :
- Devise a plan to have strong visibility across tied-up retail outlets
- Plan to use generate sales from these outlets
- Plan hyper-local marketing activities
- Manage a field force to activate new and inactive stores
- Run trade and consumer promotions to drive trials, usage & retention
Candidate :
- Should have done a similar role at one of the leading FMCG companies
- Should have managed a field force of atleast 30 before
- Should be from a top tier B-school
The role will report into the CMO.
