Godrej Agrovet - Plant Manager

This position is for Godrej Tyson Foods Limited.

Purpose of the job :

The Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed, develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, productivity and Morale of Team.

Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining & exceeding current quality standards to exceed our customers- expectations

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY :

- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping as per AOP

- Commit to plant safety procedures and enhance EHS culture.

- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to sustain and exceed customers- expectations

- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards

- Overall Engineering and Maintenance performance management within budgeted costs

- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results

- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus

- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions

- Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff

- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste.

- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets

- Address employees- issues or grievances.

- Develop good repo with external stake holders and regulatory/statutory authorities.

- Implementation of policies and systems allowing company to meet its commitment to product safety, the safety of operations for employees and protection of the environment.

- Identify new cost effective and quality vendors in the field of engineering material and ensure development of vendors to match world class engineering standards.

- Implementation of systems, procedures and processes to manage product quality and minimize the costs of non-conformance.

- Ensure all safety systems are in place and report and implement corrective actions on areas of concern.

- Analyze varies issues and drive initiatives for improvement in plant reliability, costs and operational efficiencies

- Identify opportunities and support manufacturing team through implementation of continuous improvement projects to improve productivity, safety & sanitation and hygiene in the plant.

- Constantly review and implement suitable plans in discussion with the management for reduction in total energy consumption.

- Keep track of technological advances and liaise with vendors.

- Ensure continuous online training to crew members on the operation and maintenance of equipment's.

WHO YOU ARE :

- Proven work experience as a plant manager for 4-5 years.

- B.Tech - Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical - Mandatory

- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources.

- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
