- In the last 36 months, the startup's total order volumes has grown to 6600x and diversified into 18 verticals. The company runs the equivalent of three Indian unicorns rolled into one. GO-FOOD is one of the largest food delivery services in the world. 3 years since the mobile app launched, GO-JEK does more rides than India's largest taxi-sharing service.

- A total of 1,000,000 drivers collectively cover an average distance of 16.5 million kilometers each day, making GO-JEK Indonesia's de facto transportation partner. GO-JEK is a verb. GO-JEK is a way of life. It is quite simply the operating system of Indonesia. 200 engineers spread across Jakarta, Singapore and India make software decisions that impacts about 260 million people in the country.

- GO-JEK Tech is the product development and training centre of GO-JEK. The tech team comprises of developers, data scientists, designers and product managers who work on product innovation, mining data and crafting consumer experiences. The average age of the team is 29 and it runs one of the largest jruby, Java and go clusters in Asia.

About the role :

- We are looking for an experienced manager to lead a team of Product Analysts responsible for applying advanced analytics to business, product & technology decisions.


- This team will be responsible for multiple business areas within GO-JEK like Go-Food, AdTech, Go-Pay etc. & variety of analytics problems like Search Optimization, Campaign Optimizations, Order Cancellations Analysis, Merchant Insights etc.

- This role requires strong foundation in analyzing data, relating to business problems, understanding product dynamics, communicating complex results to non-analytical audience & mentor the team to do the same.


- The role will also need monthly international travel for effective coordination across senior executives across geographies.

Responsibilities: 

- Hire and lead a team of up to 8-10 Product Analysts

- Help team deliver drill-downs; "Why?" of any changes in product metrics as well as the potential impact analysis

- Help team conduct experiments; designing UX, incentives OR algorithmic product (e.g. search, rate limiting, targeting etc.) experiments that lead to more effective products

- Help team translate complex findings and results into compelling narratives

- Recommend business, product & engineering direction on top of such initiatives

- Work with business units to prioritize wide ranging initiatives by constantly focusing on overall GO-JEK ROI

- Focus on improving the team efficiency by creating/improving processes, create/purchase tools & changing team behaviour where required

Prerequisites

Candidate must have:

- At least 3 years of hands-on quantitative analytics experience

- At least 3 years of people management experience

- Excellent SQL skills & proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python or R preferable)

- Solid understanding of statistical methods

- Demonstrable willingness to explore & keep-up with the changing landscape of analytics tooling & methodologies

- Ability to move across cross-functional team, enabling faster decisions while maintaining attention to details

- High degree of problem solving, communication and organization skills Following are preferable, but not necessary

- Deep technical/statistical education background like Bachelors/Masters in Economics, Engineering, Statistics OR Mathematics.

- Exposure to Food, Logistics or Payment business domains
