The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in selling services to government agencies, and they will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers. The GM Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing the company's government sales strategy, and they will also be responsible for managing the team and ensuring that all sales goals are met.
Responsibilities :
1. Develop and execute the company's business development strategy to drive growth and achieve revenue targets for government projects. Prior exposure in this field will be an added advantage.
2. Identify new business opportunities and market trends within government space, including potential clients, markets, and service offerings.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, acting as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
4. Lead and manage a team of business development professionals in government & PSU space , providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure high performance.
5. Conduct market research and analysis to identify competitive threats, market gaps, and potential areas for expansion.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
7. Prepare and present business proposals, sales presentations, and contract negotiations to prospective clients.
8. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, making data-driven decisions and adjustments to strategies as needed.
9. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and generate new leads

Qualifications and Skills :
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
2. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business development, preferably in the Government led initiatives or PSU relationships.
3. Strong knowledge and understanding of the BPO industry, including market dynamics, client requirements, and industry best practices.
4. Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business development strategies that drive revenue growth.
5. Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
6. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex ideas and influence key stakeholders.
7. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
8. Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive strategic decision-making.
9. Results-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
