GM - Taxation - Pharma

Major Purpose of the Job:

- Tax compliances- Direct and indirect taxes

- Tax Planning

- Representation on behalf of the company before Taxation Authorities/ Auditors/Consultants/Experts.

Principal Accountability:

1. Overall in charge of Direct and Indirect Taxes of the company, including Income tax, Sales Tax(VAT), Service tax and Central Excise matters of the group of companies and entities; with functions including:

- Tax compliances within due dates as prescribed in statuses:

- Income Tax

- TDS(employees & vendors)

- Wealth & Family returns

- Specific areas of Tax Audits and certifications for incentives, advance taxes

- Tax Provisions

- Tax assessments (regular and transfer pricing)

- Tax appeals

- Transaction tax

- Tax implication support

- Identical involvement/support in VAT, CST, Service tax and Excise

2. Tax Planning, Strategies.

3. Including addressing litigations and rationalization of future litigations

4. Representation on behalf of the company before Taxation Authorities.

5. Involvement in taxation and planning aspects of internal and intercompany Restructures /reorganizations.

6. Liaison and interaction with Auditors/Consultants/Experts etc. for matters of Direct and indirect taxes
