About Our Client

Our client is a Multinational Pharmaceutical Corporation with a history of over 40 years. A private owned corporation, our client employs over 5000 people across various offices and manufacturing plants across the world. With over 300 formulations and revenues of over $1bn they have established a presence through subsidiaries, joint ventures or licensing agreements in several countries across the world. Our client is looking for a General Manager to head the Quality, Regulatory and R&D functions of their API Plant in Mexico.

Job Description

Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for:

- Build a management team and Quality, Regulatory and R&D

- Making improvements to employee adherence to SOPs and the level of urgency in responses to deviations in expected outcomes.

- Perform risk assessment on the organization’s ability to deliver on the strategic plan.

- Implement counter-measures to ensure achievement

- Assess skill level of the organization: Leadership and communication, Technical and ability to get things done.

- Set action plans to develop human capital.

- Set a transparent scorecard of KPI’s of each of the key result areas.

- Establish a organizational review with corresponding improvement activities.

- Complete a business planning exercise which details capital expense budget and operational budget assumptions.

- Complete a formal talent review and capability development planning activities.

The Successful Applicant

You will be a Ph.D in Chemistry with expertise of at least 20 years in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and API R&D and Manufacturing. You will have exceptional Leadership skills and should have played an active role in regulatory agency interaction and audits. You will have working knowledge of ICH, FDA and other international (US, Europe is must) agency guidelines. Apart from exceptional communication skills in English, you should have an understanding of Spanish language.
