GM - Sales - IT - FMCG

Main Purpose – JOB DESCRIPTION

- As a senior member of the Sales Team, be the first person responsible for all aspects of IT enablement of Sales Processes and MIS

- The role is around building capability while providing tactical support in the short term and be the bridge between Sales leadership and IT leadership and project teams.

Accountabilities –

- Support the Demand Manager in running an effective demand management process in the organization through:

- Help identify the opportunities, which exist internally or externally, to improve the business performance through the use of IT

- Contribute to the development and management of the IT & e-business plan that supports the Sales strategy

- Ensure business strategies and customer needs are met by directing and oversee the design or improvement projects around IT solutions to support sales processes and respective sub-processes.

- Facilitate Implementation of new and improved business sub-processes by leveraging IT to support Sales Team user needs

- Follow-up the IT developments, test them and contribute to its implementation in the business

- Participate in quality management reviews as outlined in the Validation Task Overview, in particular reviews of the designs, prototypes and other requirements work products to ensure they fulfill the requirements

- Develop Functional knowledge especially in Sales and Planning processes

Key Skills/Experience Required –

- 6+ years of Sales experience & Sales Capability/Project Management Experience in various areas

- Experience in FMCG / consumer durables

- Understanding of Business processes

- Ability to interface with the business

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective and positive presentation skills

- Ability to communicate technical information to a group or individuals in a clear and concise manner using business examples

- Hands on experience with large scale application deployment

- Good communication, interpersonal, influencing and persuasion skills

- Strong project management and data interpretation/ analysis skills

- Ability to cross-reference and benchmark

- Ability to conduct sessions/meetings with people 3-4 senior to the position – both independently and under supervision

- Masters degree in Business Administration
