GM - Projects - Housing/Township

Our client a large Real Estate Group with presence across multiple locations & upcoming projects in Delhi/NCR, Rajasthan, UP & Orissa.

We are looking for a General Manager - Projects for their Gurgaon office:

General Manager – Projects

Education Qualification: B.E/B. Tech-Civil

Experience: 15-20 yrs +

Key Accountability/Role and Responsibilities:

- Strong Project management background;

- Must be currently handling Planning, Scheduling, Financial control of the project, Resourcing (someone who has been involved into Project Planning)

- Currently working at senior position in Contracting/ Project Management organizations;

- Development of overall project plan and construction schedule

- Responsible for coordination with architects and consultants, planning, execution and closing of the project within the defined timeline. Execution of works within the parameters of time, cost, quality and productivity;

- Monitoring workload analysis: Task usage, resource usage, Improve utilization/Reduce downtime;

- Ongoing monitoring of project progress, adherence to contract specifications, quality standards;

- Identification of opportunities for application of good engineering practices/ innovative practices to enhance quality of delivery Build and maintain relationships with external entities- contractors, government agencies, vendors, consultants;

- Proper systems implementation – sub-contract system, information technology, quality, safety and environment;

- Ensure and monitor statutory compliance;

- Managing the client interface in terms of deliverables, grievances, issues;

- Project management reporting to identify potential claims and other project issues;

- Demobilize project, resources, equipment on completion;

- Ensuring smooth Project closure activities- surplus material/resources reconciliation, Sign-offs, contractor retention money etc;

- The person needs to have the excellent leadership, management, planning and motivation skills;

- Should posses strong planning and Ability to communicate with workers and managing them with efficiency coordination skills;

- Contractor and Vendor management skills should be good;

- He or she should have excellent troubleshooting abilities in the tough situations;

- Judgment and Decision Making Skills.

Required Skill Sets and Behavioral Traits

Specific Profile requirement:

- Strong technical knowledge along with hands on experience in Project Coordination

- Major experience in Housing projects and high rise towers

Location: Gurgaon

Compensation: Negotiable, approx range of 25-30 lac per annum
