JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION - General Manager

MANAGEMENT - GRADE - Senior Vice President / Vice President , depending upon experience and qualification of the candidate.

Grade 8/7.

REPORTS TO - Chief Executive Officer / Country Manager

REPORTEES - Chief Operating Officer

- Chief Credit Officer

- Head Compliance.

JOB DEFINITION

Responsible for

- Developing and maintaining very high standard of operational efficiency by making the best use of available resources – technology and people.

- Preserve and strengthen the integrity of the Operational process.

- Ensure the highest standard of Customer service setting the industry benchmark.

FUNCTIONS

Tasks

- Formulate and ensure compliance with various policies for different components of the bank’s operation.

- Direct and coordinate activities of departments concerned with the day to day operation so as to
ensure the operation meet the Service Standard Gurantee that the Bank has committed to the customers.

- Review performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement .

- Manage the available resources optimally so as to maintain the operating cost within the laid down norms.

- Determine resource requirements and ensure procurement in co-ordination with respective departments such as IT and HR.

- Ensure the various processes – Credit, Compliance and Centralised Operation – complying with the set parameters as laid down in the policies approved by the Board.

REQUIRED SKILL SET -

People Leadership in a multiracial and multi ethnic environment.

- Mentoring capability to mentor the local team members.

- Sound knowledge and analytical skills for assessing business process in the given environment

- Adequate quantitative skills to read and understand periodical control statements and reports.

PERSONAL PROFILE

A. Academics - Degree in Business Management or equivalent.

B. Work experience – About 15 years in Banking , preferably in high level of automated environment.

C. Age – about 40 years

D. Good propensity to grow both in the job dimension and in cross boarder environment.
