We have vacancy with one of our client based in Nigeria ,looking for a General Manager Operation in shipping industry.

- Qualification-Marine Engineering or Any Graduate

Job Profile

- Responsible for all vessel operations and support ensuring that the vessels are crewed, operated
and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and customer requirements

- Ensure that efficient service is supplied to clients, agents and shipping companies

- Plan for cargoes to arrive at their destination as quickly as possible and in good condition

- Maintain daily contact with vessels, coordinating and reporting vessel movement

- Identifying and implementing improvements in vessels operations

- Implements procedures for the operation of a safe and environmentally sound fleet

- Direct supervision of operations personnel

- Coordinating with port engineer on maintenance, technical and operational requirements

- Liaising with purchasing departments

- Ability to act decisively in a crisis

- Ability to manage tight time constraints

- Possess strategic thinking, analytical and change management skills

- Good IT skills

- Excellent organisational skills

- Ability to motivate and enthuse a team of staff
