GM/Leadership Role/Legal/Compliance/Risk Management (14-17 yrs)
- A dynamic and experienced leader who will work closely with the management and leadership team.
- 10 - 15 years of relevant experience
- Experience developing and implementing risk management programs focused on ethics and anti-corruption compliance, preferably with multi-national firms
- Experience in the international healthcare sector and strong knowledge of, and ability to provide guidance on, healthcare sector ethics, compliance risks, including anti-corruption and fraud and broad pharmacovigilance and other risks, working closely with relevant technical experts
- Strong commitment to integrity, sustainability, ethics and good governance and be able to demonstrate leadership and drive in promoting integrity and corporate governance standards
- Self-starter and motivated individual with a pro-active attitude, willing to get involved in all aspects of a new business with a clear mission
- Effective management skills, strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to make well-reasoned, independent and transparent decisions within short timeframes
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships and communicate clearly and effectively at different levels (both internally and externally)
- Capable of dealing with board, senior management, shareholders, staff and third parties with confidence, independence, authority, and assurance

- Experience in managing a team and in complying with reporting requirements from investors will be an advantage
- Experience utilizing tech solutions to risk management in previous roles will be an advantage

PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
- Develop, implement and oversee a robust risk management policy framework, strategy and program, with corporate governance, anti-corruption, and environmental and social (E&S) considerations at its core, to ensure platform commitment to ethical conduct, adherence to relevant local and international regulatory requirements and alignment with best practice.
- In this capacity, work closely with management to ensure policies are meaningfully, consistently, and sustainably implemented and constantly improved upon in line with evolving best practice
- Develop reporting metrics, risk indicators, KPIs and other regular requirements for key business units.
- Oversee all training undertaken at all levels related to ethics, anti-corruption, anti-fraud and related topics.
- Work with finance and internal audit to develop an audit plan for the Company that appropriately assesses the adequacy of internal controls, gaps and sets actionable road maps for identified risks
- In this capacity, develop, manage and oversee as required any pre-acquisition due diligence and third-party risk assessment processes for potential acquisitions, investments and partnerships, seeking the support of external consultants and advisors as appropriate.
- In collaboration with the Board and CEO, lead the creation and maintenance of a strong ESG and compliance risk management and compliance culture in the business
- In this capacity, support in appointing/hiring suitable compliance or risk professionals, as required, and report on the same to the relevant committees
- Provide support, advice and guidance on compliance, sustainability, risk and governance-related issues to senior management, operational and E&S staff as needed
- Liaise with local stakeholders on risk issues as required
- Monitor strategic integrity risks and regulatory compliance issues, and report on the risk management program and any incidents/issues to the relevant committees and Lenders/Shareholders, as needed, in collaboration with relevant personnel
- Conduct periodic risk governance and compliance focused risk assessments of the company and its operations, including any projects planned or being undertaken by the company, and report the results of the assessments to the Board
- Provide technical risk assessment support for expansion opportunities to ensure that risk management is embedded into all decision-making
- Manage the investigation of risk issues (including ESG non-performance and non-compliance) cases and report to management, the board and shareholders as appropriate
- Maintain relevant records and registers, such as complaint and incidents registers, gifts and conflict registers, procurement registers, and delegated and signing authorities.
- Establish and manage a whistleblower channel for both internal and external reports, in line with international best practice, with appropriate reporting and oversight to the board.
