GM - Corporate/Govt Affairs - FMCG

Responsibility:

Primary responsibility will be to support India's government relations at the Centre and states. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing company's government relations strategies to support the business and form an effective interface between the Company and the government in matters of policy, laws, regulations and special projects. The individual will be a national resource with direct reporting to Director- Corporate Affairs.

Key Skills/Experience Required



Experience and Qualification-

- 10 - 12 years of experience and a proven track record of success in public policy work in an MNC environment. Preferred industry sectors are highly regulated/ contentious ones such as: Telecom, Insurance, Pharma, Retail, and FMCG.

- A thorough knowledge of the Government structures at the central, state and local levels and how they operate;

- Relevant and strong relationships with key policy makers, senior government officials (in areas of regulatory and legislative interest to the Company),

- Experience working with and communicating effectively to all levels of management and demonstrated skills in dealing at the executive level in large organizations;

- Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills and ability to work successfully in a team based setting;

- Ability to take decisions without expecting guidance at all times;

- Bachelor level degree is required. Advanced degree or the equivalent in business, government and public policy or related is preferred.
