I am looking for “Manager Commercial” with one of the leading packaging company at Thane, Rudrapur and Hyderabad.

Generic Job Profile

Position Title with Grade Manager – Commercial

Work Area Plant Commercial - Thane, Rudrapur and Hyderabad

Key Activities/ Performance expected

1. Overall Incharge of Commercial Function.

2. Comply with VMI systems wherever applicable

3. Forecasting / planning of stock items to be ordered on regular basis

4. Timely call offs of Raw material, Packing material, Consumables & Engg spares.

5. Plant stores management including Inventory control processes and procedures with complete compliance to safety standards.

6. Monitoring non-moving / slow moving stocks and allocate them for jobs issued, before ordering afresh; follow up with Mktg team for unused Inventory, interact with Operations for alternate usage

7. Highlight the probable shortages / delays / non-availability of material to Ops / Planning as soon as Jobs are issued and specify corrective action taken and probable new delivery date.

8. Negotiation of prices with vendors under the Corporate guidelines for B & C items.

9. Vendor Rating / feedback to CHQ on all key raw materials.

10. Coordination with Transporters for timely arrival of incoming material.

11. Coordination with Accounts for clearance of suppliers’ & transporters payments by ensuring that all the procedures are followed strictly before purchasing the material and facilitating timely payment to the suppliers by Accounts.

12. Compliance of statutory aspects related to purchase / movement of material, e.g. Excise, VAT/CST, Octroi, etc.

13. Oversee despatches, freight, payments.

14. Manage outside job work processing completely with excise compliance.

15. Following the procedures for exports under bond, payment of duty, Cenvat, Job work.

16. Submitting returns relating to excise, EPCG, export scheme- Monthly, Quarterly, Annually.

17. Explanations to the Excise Authorities on records, data and routines.

Educational Qualification

Essential Graduate with a post graduate Diploma in Materials Management or equivalent.

Working Experience (in yrs.) 10-12 years

Expected Industry Profile FMCG / Packaging / Polymers / Printing / Coatings / Lamination

- Knowledge of Excise, Sales Tax laws.

- Effective communication.

- Computer skills like excel, word & power point with exposure to an ERP environment

Above all, the incumbent should have an impeccable record of integrity and ethics with experience in having worked for value based organization with high standards of corporate governance.
