GlowRoad - Specialist/Manager - Category Design/Category Management

At GlowRoad we feel user preferences of the next billion-user are very different from mainstream e-commerce users. Also, mobile-first semi-urban users provide immense opportunity and scale to market products and build a social e-commerce platform. We are trying to build India's most trusted social e-commerce platform for this target segment.

Glowroad is looking for Category Design Specialist for the Category team. The person will responsible for designing all the processes & new initiatives cutting across all categories majorly into areas of Sales, Business Development, Cataloging, Inventory management & Supply Chain. The position will report to the Head of Category. If you have experience of Category Management, BD, Supply Chain, a knack of analyzing numbers, efficient co-ordination and are a go-getter and have a self-driven attitude read on.

Responsibilities:

- Understand the Category team's working & is able to design efficient processes from scratch both on the Supplier & Reseller side. Design detailed SOPs for the same.

- Research market trends, customer needs/segments to develop key insights & growth opportunities

- Work closely with BD, Catalogue, Seller Support, Customer Support, Supply Chain, Marketing & Analytics teams

- Growth insights/specific deep-dives for existing brand partners

- Own critical horizontal customer experience & hygiene charters from Category side - NPS & NPS drivers, Reviews & Ratings, etc. This workstream may involve RCAs & why-why analysis

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to pilot, build & scale such capabilities in a sustainable manner which brings in organic & inorganic growth areas.

- Own, set-up and track output metrics for each project (GMV upside, Adoption & ROI etc.)

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or other relevant fields. MBA from Tier-1 college would be highly desirable.

- A minimum of 2-4 years- experience in a Category Management/BD/Consulting role with some exposure to Supply Chain too. Ecommerce experience is a definite plus.

- Demonstrated proficiency in designing processes from scratch, writing SOPs, statistics with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts

- This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the design process.
