Job Title: Global Tax Manager
Location: Noida (UP) India.
Experience: 10+ years
Reporting to: Group Corporate Finance Head
Role Overview:
The Global Tax Manager will be responsible for managing the company's global tax compliance, planning, and strategy. This role involves ensuring the company meets its tax obligations worldwide, optimizing tax positions, and mitigating risks. The successful candidate will lead a team to navigate complex tax regulations, support business operations, and drive tax-efficient strategies across all the company's jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance:
- Oversee global tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, transfer pricing, and other indirect taxes. Africa exposure is must.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and payments.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and local finance teams to manage compliance in various jurisdictions.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
Tax Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's global tax position.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and incentives across different countries.
- Advise senior management on the tax implications of business decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.
- Manage transfer pricing policies and ensure documentation is in place.
Tax Accounting & Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of tax provisions and disclosures in the financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., ASC 740, IFRS).
- Coordinate with the finance team to integrate tax reporting with financial reporting processes.
- Provide tax-related insights and analysis for quarterly and annual financial reports.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate tax risks through robust controls and processes.
- Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities, ensuring favorable outcomes.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date tax records and documentation.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of tax professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide feedback.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with finance, legal, and business units to support global operations and initiatives.
- Provide tax training and support to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure tax strategies align with the company's overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
- CA/CS/CMA/ACCA/CFA/CPA, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in international tax, with a mix of public accounting and corporate tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of global tax laws, regulations, and practices.
- Proficiency in tax compliance software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
