Job Description :

- Candidates with min 10-15 Years of Experience Sourcing or Global Supply Chain for commodities like Control and Automation scope covering Automation equipment, measurement and control instruments, Power supplies, Electronic distributors, Product software, and other measurement and control assemblies as demand presents.

Position Title : Control and Automation Category Manager

Job Description Summary :

- Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. The Global Category Manager (GCM) will strategically develop and manage the global supply chain of Power Conversion commodities worldwide.

- This includes the analysis of spend, the formulation of and implementation of global commodity strategies, the negotiation of contracts and management of strategic supplier relationships. This position will manage a portfolio of ~$15M of direct material spend.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities :

- Focus on flow commodities across the Control and Automation scope covering Automation equipment, measurement and control instruments, Power supplies, Electronic distributors, Product software, and other measurement and control assemblies as demand presents.

- Interact with site teams to understand business needs and develop Commodity strategies that optimize total requirements

- Develop and execute Commodity strategies putting in place long term agreements, with varying levels of complexity and size, driving YOY cost reduction

- Manage supplier contracts, supply agreements, and e-auctions with preferred suppliers to ensure that market trends, supplier performance, and future business needs are aligned

- Develop competitive negotiations to drive deflation with the global supply base, whilst also meeting cash, capacity and quality requirements

- Define and drive use of preferred suppliers plus develop alternate sources to reduce single and sole sources

- Lead the evaluation and selection of new suppliers, development of existing suppliers, and overall supplier management

- Collaborate with supporting resources (engineering, quality, global supply chain, and regional teams) to achieve plan, driving lead time reduction

- Develop technical and market expertise in commodity area

- In Developing commodity strategies leveraging broader Power and other businesses

Qualifications/Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

- Minimum 10 years of Sourcing or Global Supply Chain experience

- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required, 30% of the time

Desired Characteristics :

- Bachelors Degree from accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, or STEM majors

- Skills in structuring multiple deal types (license, OEM, reseller etc.) with many complex terms and conditions (Intellectual property protection, liquidated damages, etc.)

- Outstanding negotiations skills getting to win/win agreements

- Demonstrated technical aptitude and business acumen

- Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to perform cost assessments and analysis

- Working knowledge of sourcing buy to pay processes

- High motivation, leadership, and influencing skills

- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills

- Proactive self-starter and change agent

- Cross functional, matrixed, and international team experience

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Effectively communicate across all organizational levels, departments, and functions

- Proven Global Commodity management and process improvement skills

- Aptitude with analytical tools (ex. Excel, Access); specific skills should include data mining, pivot tables, data manipulation

- Ability to perform scenario analysis and strategy development

- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), ORACLE Systems, COPICS, BAAN and/or other purchasing systems

- CPM or APICS certification

Green Belt / Black Belt Certified

Experience : 10 to 15 years

Annual CTC : Rupees 30,00,000 to 35,00,000
