Profile :

- This role will be face of the organisation for all vendors/materials/Internal customers for Packing Material, Solvents, Vendor development activities and "Purchase for Resale".

Role has: -

- Width (India and South Asia) and Depth (Six SBU"s consuming Resins and Solvents)

- The high complexity and spend value of Approx Rs 300 Crores

- Matrix reporting structure

- Alignment to global systems - Become a integral part of Org. Sourcing SAMB network

Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities

1. To work as Specialist and recognized expert in al the areas of the category.

2. Structured vendor development to achieve value reduction, Innovation and Sustainability.

3. To ensure long term supply security to the region through established agreements with critical vendors

4. Negotiate prices, terms, conditions, contracts and KSA related sub agreements with suppliers so that ORG.gets the lowest total cost consistent with the business expectation on quality and service requirements

5. Making category strategy and implementation in all the BU"s in the region to ensure optimised benefit.

6. Leverage Company"s international purchasing / sourcing tools and effectively deploy them in the region

7. Ensure compliance to Org.l Vendor Policy, Code of Conduct, Competition law and other Indian and International Law in respect of all activities pertaining to buying for the business.

8. Accurately forecast prices and availability so that our businesses know and understand industry developments and the potential effect on the profitability.

9. Develop and implement innovative means to reduce procurement cost and minimize raw material inventories so that the business profitability and working capital goals are met.

10. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and colleagues so that Org.receives favorably treatment in the industry and by the business team.

Functional Responsibilities/Network

- Five manufacturing facility in India and One in Srilanka

- Nine "Out side processing centres" (PFR) and including PFR"s out side India

- Around 200 Vendors

- Over 30 International vendors

- Work closely with Technical, Finance, and Supply chain function

- Need to work in tandem with Spend Rea Managers for delivering the spend strategy

- Co create value with RD & I for company (all BU"s)

Job Context

- This job involves extensive and intensive category Management for the regions and become partners to businesses giving competitive edge to all the business units with utmost thrust on supply security, sustainability and value creation.

- Job involves extensive participation and understanding of BU strategy. To participate in all org. initiatives such as one-finance, one-Supply chain etc.

- This role needs to lead the Sustainability agenda through Supplier support visits and actions thereafter with the spend vendors.
