Global Product Manager - Building Materials
You will be responsible for:
- Responsible for management of the product portfolio in Building Products
- Preparing segment strategies and "Go-To" market approach for ensuring increase of revenues and market share
- Conduct Gap analysis and launch of products as deemed fit as per the market condition
- Plan and execute Product Strategy - with passion to create a leadership position in India
- Take complete ownership and responsibility for "Idea to Execution" in implementing for building products business
- Build, grow, nurture and manage product executives and management trainees
- To drive/co-ordinate with sales, marketing communication, supply chain teams within organisation
Key Responsibilities
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT -
- New Product launch - Understand the market need and behaviour by interacting with users, influencers & end consumers and propose strategy for market development, product development.
- Be the expert on buyers/ influencers/ consumers & and their buying behaviour and use these insights for launching new products/ modifying existing offerings.
- Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the products in the market against competition.
- Propose pricing strategies and discount schemes after analysing market conditions & margin targets in coordination with Sales team
- Achievement of Sales Objectives for New and Volume Building Products (for the portfolio handled)
DEMAND GENERATION -
- Development of aids and modules for end user/ influencer to communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop other sales tools that support the selling process of products.
- Conceptualize & Develop Marketing Collaterals like POS, Audio Visuals, Demo-Kits etc.
- Conceptualize & Design the module and elements for other demand generation initiatives
- Partner with the Sales team in devising strategic trade initiatives & trade related activities
- Co-ordinate with the Field Marketing Team to design and develop programs for End Users like SGAs, product training etc.
MARKET INTELLIGENCE -
- Competition analysis and tracking - Monitor pricing and trade inputs of competitors on a regular basis and initiate pricing/inputs actions to maintain profitable growth of the product portfolio
- Managing the process of feedback management through internal (field personnel) & external (end users, influencers, channel etc.) sources
- Regular Market analysis to understand and evaluate the size of opportunity & propose new business development opportunities
Qualification And Experience:
The Successful Applicant :
1. MBA from a reputed Institute with 7-12 years of experience in Building material Industry in Product Management Role.
2. Furthermore, you will be someone with excellent analytic, execution and communication skills (written & verbal).
3. What's on Offer Lead the Product Management function for one the leaders in Building Material Industry across India and work closely with senior management team.
4. Excellent analytical skills to break down and solve complex problems. Past experience in handling data based and highly analytical problems.
